Day 3: Timberland Hills, Grassy Lake, Bear Lake

Have to use my phone again, so I'll be brief. Had my first ATV ride in Timberland Hills, when I was confused by blazes and an employee helped me out. Ed spotted a black bear in Grassy Lake and was so close he saw it blink.

Hikers: Beware of Grassy and Bear Lake segments. Part of Grassy Lake was great (well blazed and mowed), but portions were very overgrown and rough. Bear Lake was fine, and actually fun, the first mile -- a "barely there" trail winding through the woods. But then the blazes sent you in circles and then stopped. Ended up on a logging road and never reached Camp Phillips.

What will tomorrow bring?!
